    Double Yolk Eggs

    Hi All

Just curious, has anyone ever been served with a double yolk egg at breakfast whilst on a cruise??

(Silly topic but I have just cracked my 6th egg out of a carton of 6 and they all had double yolks ! 100% eggs double yolks is a 1st for me It makes no difference to the quality of my baking though

    Annie

PS I don't think the eggs are imported

No to the question but talking of baking I am going to enter a cake into the village show at the weekend. The category I am going for is my favourite cake. Any suggestions welcome. There already is a catogey for carrot cake and Victoria sponge and vegan so exclude those.

I bought a pack of 10 large eggs last year and every one had a double yolk. I haven't had one since!

Gosh, I haven’t had a double yoke egg in years and years! I do lots of baking though, with gluten free chocolate cake being one of my specialties! A friend at work just gave me a big bag of Bramley apples today so I can see I’ll be making Mary Berry’s apple & almond cake at the weekend. My chocolate brownies are also very popular with people. I just wish I could do decent pastry.

                        Take care, Helen🍰

Just back from chatty Bridge. The cake of the evening was a courgette cake. Incredibly moist and more-ish. Don't ask me the recipe, I don't bake but luckily my fellow Monday evening Bridgers do.

I just eat them, the cakes that is.

It’s funny you should say that, as last weekend I made courgette and chocolate muffins.. My grandson and I are both allergic to eggs, so the muffins were totally egg free. Voted delicious by everyone who ate them and not one person guessed the main ingredient was courgettes.

Thanks for all 5he suggestions. I think I will go for something with vegetables as it is the horticultural society summer show. I remember making a marrow cake last year. I did so many things with marrow so it won't be that. I need to make it the day before so it needs to keep fresh ok.
