It was HOT!Went with a couple of friends, who for the first time in Benalmadena were bothered by mosquitos .Fortunately, they don't like me 😀
Last week we were in Llandudno for 2 nights really lovely weather, a favourite place.
Going to Vienna for a few days in August (never been).
Then cruise in October on Celebrity Reflection (hopefully) the 4th attempt at a Greek Islands.
Been much coverage about the queues at Malaga Airport for passport control, but we were on an early flight and sailed through.A few people were caught out after passport control though when asked for their Covid pass and were made to do an LFT.
Hope people enjoy wherever they are going.
Enjoy Vienna Phil. Not JMO lovely city recently voted the most liveable city in the world.

        Hi Phil
What did you mean about Covid pass at Malaga airport?
Do you mean the NHS vaccination record?

3 cruises(31days) this year nothing else booked, next up is 3 weeks in the US(costing more than a cruise just for flights and car).

Quite fancy getting away Xmas&NY on a longer one and at least one to fill Sept-Dec.

One of my jobs for the next couple of weeks is a short list and set up a price watch

We've done short breaks in the UK mostly at short notice over the last couple of years and given the circumstances we've all found ourselves in we haven't done too badly. Maybe the length of time since the last one is the reason but our ocean cruising mojo has yet to return and we have nothing booked at the moment. There are a couple in 2023 that have caught our eye but we haven't got beyond researching the itineraries and ships yet and they may or may not happen. For the remainder of this year we have booked a short river cruise in Germany. We're dipping our toes in the water here since we've never done a river cruise before. We have a short break at Bluestone in west Wales with our son, DIL, and grandchildren, which promises to be restful (not), a long weekend in the Cotswolds for our anniversary, and a New Year break at a Warner hotel in Cheshire.

Vienna is a great place. So much to see.
The architeture in the centre is stunning.
Whilst there are sites to visit further out (e.g. Schonnbrun Palace) the main city centre is so walkable. We found the metro easy if getting from A to B was a little further.
i suspect August will be closed season for much of the rich musical offer.
Theres always the lush coffee and cake in the coffee houses, some of them very historic.

We had a week in Isle of Man in April 2022, stayed in a very nice barn conversion. The seacat from Liverpool was smooth and we took our own car. The cost of the seacat was £400 return for us and the car. Hire cost for a car for a week was around £350. It might have been cheaper to fly, but as I hate flying we chose the seacat. We had a 5 day cruise in November 2021 to Western Europe with Saga, and a week in West Yorkshire in September. Next holiday is 21 nights with P and O to Norway and Iceland in August this year. Have a coach holiday booked to the WW1 battlefields in April 23 and have put a deposit on a 35 night cruise to USA and Central America / Caribbean in Feb 24. Plus likely to have a UK short break in September 23.

We’re on Celebrity Edge at the moment. Just left Portofino. Very impressed with this ship and the staff. Our ocean view stateroom was subject to a glitch prior to boarding. As a result, we were upgraded to an infinite balcony cabin on deck 7. We knew it was a marmite type of cabin but we actually like it. We have one more cruise booked on RCI (Vision) in September.

Nothing booked until our world cruise in February..if it sails!
I would like to take advantage of the immunity we must have built up since having covid a couple of weeks ago and book a cruise but we are waiting to have a new kitchen fitted and the dates keep changing so we are stuck until it is sorted.

No cruises booked. Going to small hotel in Lake Garda in September. Dreading the flight, thought the risks would be lower by now.

Might book an Ambassador cruise from Newcastle for next year. Still dithering.
