Sadly not available in NI. Don't know what we will be able to access. We can't even get a decent Assembly together!!

I printed out my copy, the one with all details of vaccine from date given to batch number etc etc, and it's in my passport [ready for my now non existent Oct cruise]. Will that do for future cruises or will I need to reprint with a current QR code thingy?

            Hi Mrs M
If we're having a vaccine top up in the autumn we'll need to re-print.

Which is the advantage of having the app on your phone because a booster will automatically go on your medical record and the app.

Yes, I know that but if there's no booster, will the printed copy have to be updated because the QR code is out of date, and having looked, mine is way out of date?

As an innocent abroad here as far as these strange square codes go, what does the ' unique 2D barcode' [that's what it says it is] do that the printed copy doesn't show?

It states the 2D barcode refreshes every 30 days to protect your security so I guess if you want to print it off you should do it less than 30 days before your return home.

The 2d QR code is the security bit anyone can print a sheet with the other data on it
(that's what happened in Scotland first attempt)

New code every 30days needs a new printout

                      Hi again
I don't even have a print out, no app on my phone either so I'm as much in the dark as you.
I've been asked twice for contact details...I gave them my last bosses phone number..
I so hope she's been told to isolate for it....my present to the remains of my old dept...

                        There you are Garf.
Thank you John and TD. I will tear up the old and print when needed although it wouldn't occur to naive me faking would be an issue with my NHS app stuff.

                          Hi Garfie

For ages I couldn't even register with the NHS App I won't go into the boring details.

I just rang 119 and they sent me a letter to use as proof of vaccination status for travel.

Much easier than messing around with the app.

We are yet to find out if the English options will be acceptable to other countries or Scotland.

We had a long item on our news this morning regarding USA not accepting AZ vaccines. Proof of vaccination is required for access to a Bruce Springsteen concert, but AZ isn't valid for that. That was just one example that I can remember. They never did clear AZ for use in US, but did accept Johnson, which isn't allowed here. I'm sure things will change in time, but right now all is confusion .Most of our family have had two shots of Pfizer, 16 year old grandaughter had her second yesterday, but daughter in law had AZ. She is quite concerned right now that her travel may be restricted. Husband can't get his second Pfizer until he completes some medical treatment.

There needs to be standardization of vaccine passports if they are to be effective.
