    Forward Planning for the NHS

People can't go out for the evening as the cinemas, theatres, pubs and restaurants are closed. Having to stay in, perhaps a ready meal, a bottle or two of wine as no driving is involved, rubbish on the telly so early to bed!

With 9 months to go is it too late to start ramping up the training of midwifes and enlarging maternity wards?

Possibly, but if boyfriends and girlfriends who don't live together are being kept apart there should be fewer accidents!

Nothing to worry about in our case 😉 as for the wine at last count we had 13 bottles in our wine rack and I have not had an alcoholic drink since New Year’s Eve 😳😎

Winter 1947 was one of the most severe on record. Snow fell every day from late January to mid March. I was born in early November that year. Plus ca change............

I think there is a statistic somewhere that says 99% of people are caused by accidents. 😉 Never fear chaps, the NHS is already aware of this possibility.

Take care and stay well. Helen

That’s true enough. Our girls are facetiming and skyping their boyfriends so no nasty surprises!

I’d rather not! They can enjoy themselves but they’re in no hurry to have children thank god.

Midwife training is 3 years for degree and 4 years for honours degree so yes it’s too late. They are going to be very busy in 9 - 12 months time. 🙈
don't want to work, just want to cruise.
