    Bad Weather ahead!

Has anyone else seen the reports that summer could be over for us as from today?
Weathermen say that today we could have had our last T-shirt and shorts day.
We could have sleet and snow next month Temperatures could be 8% lower than normal for September.
I hope and pray they have got it wrong. They have been known to get it wrong before.............. But, save your pennies and hopefully get away for a respite from the bad weather. My goodness it only seems a while since January. Remember that?

Hi Carol I did see that report but as we are so far downI= I am hoping that they have it wrong . It's been such a beautiful day, and it's 8pm and not a cloud in the sky. I can't bear the thought of sleet and cold weather starting in September, I bet the utility companies are rubbing their hands in glee. fingers crossed. CG

I think for the last couple of years we have had Summer in March, April and some of May but its never nice in July and August. I always get very bad headaches when its raining or very close and you can trust me in saying I have had a headache since a week last friday and it finally went away last night so I knew we was going to have a nice day today!!
I think I may have to emmigrate for health reasons if your right with the weather ha-ha
      Regards.

Oh Carol, ( I feel a song coming on) I do hope this is not true. I feel we are still only half way through summer.
Maybe that is because we are sweltering under the excess heat we are having here in Cyprus. Temperatures of over 44c degrees. 100 % humidity and it is a killer! Are we ever happy I ask myself? We have had the hottest times since 1952 and it is HOT HOT HOT!
However, I would not want to be in the Uk with snow forecast in September. I do hope it is not the case as I truely want people to have some nice weather before winter really sets in. I can't believe it is almost September. Must be a sign of old age. The years flying by. Maggiemou.x

I need more sunshine to ripen my tomatoes, and to keep the Cluckingtons happy - they haven't started laying yet!

It must be global warming or is that just another tax?

I think they should ban all weather forecasts - when you wake up in the morning and open the curtains you will know. Besides, the last three years have seen fantastic Indian Summers in September and my long range weather charts show sun, sun and more sun so that's what I am going to believe.................although I did come home last night and had to light the fire - it was freezing.
I have plenty of sea weed - if a piece is dry it's sunny, if it's wet, its raining and, if it has disappeared it's windy :D

On the other hand............what would we find to talk about

I read that too and have mixed feelings. We are desperate for rain to dampen down the nearby school building site and water the parched gardens. Don't want it to be cold though-don't do cold.

We have a week in Norfolk in September booked and knowing how windy it can be on the east coast , doubt that we will get to swim in the sea.
We've also planned a trip in October to see some friends.;) I think at least the welcome will be warm, if not the weather.
In November, we fly to Malaga for a 5 day cruise, which could be better weather than the U.K. but no guarantees there either.
                    Roll on next summer.

                      Carol,

Don't say things like that ~ I've just ordered a new tent to replace the one that was killed in Wales (or Sheep as the kids have started calling it! :p) and I have a load of those 95p camping vouchers from the Mirror that we were going to use over a few weekends in September up in the lakes.

& yes I remember the snow.................

Maybe we all need one of these rather than listening to the weathermen..................
