    Nobel Prize for Kazuo Ishiguro

    Hi All

English author Ishiguro wins Nobel prize for literature.

I loved his comment, in this age of fake news, it was perhaps a mistake.

I'm sure he is worthy; but his Remains of the Day was a book which has haunted me since we read it in our book club, so i'm unable to read any more of his work, just in case. Two other members felt the same as me... we could understand the imagery, and its pertinence to slavery, refugees etc, but we found it worse than any of the brutal horror stories written by lesser authors. I think the theme, and the hopelessness of the story traumatised me for months.
    Congratulations, Ishiguro.

Sorry- it was "Never Let Me Go" which spooked me... mixed up my titles.
