Day One on the Lord Byron

So I am all tucked up in, what I am very glad to say, is a lovely comfy bed. I flew this evening with Easyjet into Budapest. The flight went by in a flash mostly due to quite a lovely flighy on a new Easyjet aircraft. We were met just outside the arrivals by the rep from Riviera Cruises and our transfer only took about 30 mins to get to the ship. My first thoughts on The ship are that it is a lit more grand than I was anticipating. Walking up the gangway you enter into a lovely bright lobby with the reception on the right hand side and a shop on the left. As the ship only hold about 140 passengers the crew to passenger ratio is great and I was escorted straight to my cabin with the most wonderful French Balcony. As it is pitch black outside I cannot wait to get a glimpse of the sights from it in the morning.Due to the late time we arrived on the ship we had a buffet dinner which had loads of choice and tasted fantastic. We followed up with a night cap in the bar and then off to bed I went.Tomorrow we have a early morning excursion walking tour in Budapest, a few hours own time and then off we sail at about 2pm to make our way to Vienna. I will let you all know tomorrow how I got on and I will post some pictures to my Facebook page so you can get an idea of the ship, food and life on board. If you have any questions about Riviera Cruises and the Lord Byron let me know and I will try get the answers for you.
