Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Dream, yesterday (January 4th) sailed into Port Canaveral in Florida, which will be its home port.
The vessel arrived in the US after a 16-night transatlantic sailing from Germany, where it has been under construction for the past two years.
Holidaymakers will be able to experience the Disney Dream from January 26th, when the ship will make its maiden voyage.
The Disney Dream will operate a series of cruises to the Bahamas of between three and five nights in duration, during which guests will be able to experience the AquaDuck water coaster, inside staterooms and other features.
Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line, said the company was "delighted" to welcome the new ship to its home port.
He added: "As we grow the Disney Cruise Line business, not only does this mean a positive economic impact for the region, but this allows us the flexibility to provide even more options to our guests.
"With new innovations onboard and new destinations to explore, ultimately we're providing even more ways for guests to enjoy a family cruise vacation."
