Could be it was FO, promotion of the other school holiday windows is smart as the summer & Xmas cruises get silly money.

1/2 terms and Easter 2 weeks are ideal to squeeze in a trip.

Just more weeks for us to try and avoid.

Probably what the kids are saying as well, stuck on a ship for a week with a load of grumpy oldies, especially as there are no specific children’s facilities on board. Nightmare!!

Lines such as CMV and Olsen are clutching at straws trying to attract youngsters on board ships that are about as attractive to kids as a week in Colditz...........Wilba

This did come up a few weeks ago, as I wrote about it somewhere else- It's just one C&M ship, from what I discovered, and only in the main holidays.

According to this article both CMV cruise ships Magellan and Columbus are involved and it covers the Easter, Spring and Summer School holidays.

Ah, I didn't read that it was two ships... I saw that they would be adding some extra entertainment suitable for children. It's sensible- and these days few children travel in term time, so it would be pointless going to all the trouble for just those few.
I know when we discussed this before, some people didn't think that children would be interested in such a cruise, but I held the opinion that the sort of child who visits the Lake District- they come in their thousands- would enjoy visiting the ports, and appreciate having an inside bed rather than living in a tent, for a change!
