I have posted a brief review on the review pages . Some aspects of the inaugural voyage were slightly strange, but it was a very enjoyable, if exhausting, trip. We were on the second 2 week segment from Athens to Rome concentrating mainly on Sicily. If anyone is considering a cruise with this new venture I would be happy to try and answer any questions.

Having just read marlowman's comments on the review pages, we agree that it was not a happy ship. This was partly to do with the fact that as soon as you came on board (if not sooner, ie. when you saw the black smoke coming out the funnel) you realised that it was NEVER going to measure up to the hype. Our full write-up is at trencherman: Voyages to Antiquity

I have just returned from a 6 week trip on my own boat, no internet, but have read the reviews here and via links with interest. Are there any updates or links about Voyages to Antiquity? I agree there were a lot of problems but there were a lot of very good things as well, and I hope the venture succeeds because we want to go again. The class system did have one benefit, our Group D was a lovely mix of like minded people, most of whom could see the funny side of some of the unfortunate arrangements like the Great Picnic when we all had to crawl into scrubby woods to get some shade. Happy days.
