    New destinations from Swan Hellenic

Cruise operator Swan Hellenic has announced that it will be carrying passengers to several new destinations during the 2011-12 winter season.

The company has launched a brochure providing details of itineraries in northern Europe, the Black Sea, north Africa, Asia and other regions.

Customers will be able to book a place on a 22-day cruise in Indonesia and south-east Asia, operating from Singapore to Hong Kong with calls at Java, Bali, Malaysia and other destinations.

Another highlight of the new programme is a 15-day voyage in India, which will take travellers to Gandhi's birthplace in Porbandar and Mumbai, setting off from Dubai and finishing in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Swan Hellenic's northern European cruises will depart from Portsmouth for the first time in 2011 following the redevelopment of the port.

Managing director Colin Stone said: "Bookings for the new winter 2011-12 Swan Hellenic season have started encouragingly with passengers responding to the rich variety of experiences on offer, including traditional tea in a Bedouin camp in Saudi Arabia, visiting the remote Toraja highlands on the island of Sulawesi to discover stilt houses, or in Java climbing to the summit of the Borobudur Buddhist temple complex."
