After a great afternoon wondering around the ship and exploring the areas I'd missed - there are some fantastic areas on the higher decks for sunbathing and relaxing, with lots of different seating/ lounger options. How many ways are there to sunbathe I asked myself? I will post the photos over the next few days so that you can see.
Having done a full ship tour and spent many more hours strolling around the ship I am certain I have seen all she has to offer, and my opinion of the ship is that she is in a league of her own. Nothing I have seen before compares with her.
Dinner in the Italian restaurant was wonderful, as has all the food been. This was my favourite meal of the week, cooked and served to perfection with the waiters doing a lovely little twirl as they placed each course on the table. I cannot remember each course I had because each course has about 5 or 6 components - again, pics to follow. One of the courses (no.3 I think!) was a tomato soup - the best I have ever tasted in my life!
Dinner over we had our last few drinks in Sansibar with the wonderful backdrop of Venice, before retiring for the night in preparation for the journey home yesterday.
We had an early flight out of Treviso which was like a cattle market and totally disorganised to boot. How we made it to our gate is beyond me. The flight home was with Ryanair - first and last time for everything, enough said!
As I sit here on the sofa reflecting on the last week and looking at my photos I feel blessed to have had the chance to spend time on the Europa 2. She is a wonderful ship with fantastic facilities and staff that really care about their guests comfort and enjoyment.
I am sure she is going to be a strong player in the 6* cruising market.
