Hapag Lloyd - here I come!!

Cruise.co.uk have just started selling Hapag Lloyd cruises - this is the ultimate in luxury cruising and I am lucky enough to have been chosen to go and test the product.
To be honest I know very little about Hapag Lloyd, only what I have read in the brochure, so I am really looking forward to experiencing what they have to offer.
If anyone has sailed with them and can give me some tips I would be really grateful, or if anyone is considering cruising with them and has any questions for me then please let me know and I will do my best to get you the answers.
I will be spending a couple of days in Dubrovnik before boarding the Europa 2, and a couple of days in Venice afterwards - both of these destinations are new to me so again, any tips or advice would be most welcome.
I will be posting live on here daily from the ship as Hapag Lloyd provide ipads free of charge in all their suites for their guests.

Looking forward to chatting to you all soon!

Enjoy Venice and Dubrovnik - 2 of my favourite places.

In Dubrovnik walk the walls but either early in the morning or late afternoon.

In Venice I always take Vaparetto No 1 and travel the whole route out to the Lido.

    When are you travelling??

Thank you Annie, I will do that. I have also been told that the cable car is worth doing in Dubrovnik for a good view over the old town. What do you think?
I am flying to Dubrovnik on Sunday - very early, and joining the ship on Tuesday lunchtime. We are sailing to Hvar, Rovinj and through the Coatian 1000 Islands. I am really looking forward to it all.

        Hi Hannah

I have not used the cable car but many do to see Dubrovnik from above. I assume you are flying into Dubrovnik and transferring by road?? - there are many opportunities to see Dubrovnik from above en route. Personal choice.

If you have time I would recommend a trip to either Lokrum or Cavtat. There are local boat services to these places from the old harbour.

I liked Hvar - Jelsa is the main town and not knowing the routing, there is a famous beach at Bol on the island of Brac - well worth a visit.

I would happily visit the region again anytime.

Enjoy your cruise Hannah and I'll be interested to read your reviews of them as I've not been with the line before. I get the impression English will not be the main language being spoken onboard but I'd have no issues with that having been with MSC several times.
