Crystal Cruises has announced that it will offer some new Pacific coast excursions during voyages in the region this year.

The trips have been designed to suit a diverse range of interests and highlight some of the historical, culinary and outdoor experiences on offer along the west coast of the US and Canada.

Passengers will be invited to sample local wine, ride in an XJ5 flight simulator and try their hand at filleting fresh salmon.

Many of the excursions on offer from Crystal Cruises this year will be brand new.

Travellers will have the opportunity to try the activities during seven-day voyages between Los Angeles and Vancouver departing on April 10th and 17th, which will feature calls at coastal cities in California, Oregon and British Columbia.

John Stoll, vice president of land and port operations for Crystal Cruises, said: "With the wide variety of landscapes and activities the west coast provides, we wanted to create a six-star program that reflected that diversity.

"The new outings in Santa Barbara, Solvang, Seattle and Astoria complement hit programs in and around San Francisco and Victoria."
