    Hi all
I once saw an old man wearing a Chelsea FC football shirt on a cruise..

Seriously,,,,i saw this on a P&O cruise of all places,,,now i can agree the sentiment, but can understand why it might upset some people.

And they say time is a healer - perhaps not. Out of interest, when was the picture taken ?

          Agreed.

The LibDems election t-shirt with itโ€™s anti-Brexit slogan was also pretty offensive. I wonder how many votes it lost them.

We went as a family last year on a Carnival 4 nighter out of Port Canaveral .
We didn't fancy the schlep to Miami from Orlando .
Yes it was a little lively at times but I've seen more drunk behaviour on British ships.
As Wilba said I found the food and entertainment really good and the customer service .
It wouldn't be my first choice line but I wouldn't mind sailing with them again.
Their sailaway was well done and quite lively but not too raucous.
Slogan T shirts I've never really got even if they are funny and subtle.
It's a bit like fancy dress in my opinion, funny for a few seconds and then you are stuck with wearing something you wouldn't normally choose for the rest of the evening.

I can't say I've ever seen clothing I'd deem offensive on a cruise, though I'm also not easily offended at all.

"Hail Satan", "Hail Jesus", "FCUK", "******** to Brexit", "Make America Great Again", "Still Hated" - none of it really bothers me and I mostly think folks should wear what they like... that doesn't mean their attire won't shape my opinion of them but I don't particularly care to prevent folks wearing something. I just question their judgement to what something that they know folks will have an issue with.

Now, pornographic material or any slogan which insights hatred against groups of people is a different matter. I've never seen something like that in my day-to-day life, nor on a cruise ship. I'll be on the lookout now though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I believe the saying goes "One mans meat is another mans poison" - that being the case I'm all for the live and let live approach. Provided no one is being physically harmed or threatened why kick up a fuss?? By all means think to yourself "what an idiot" but bear in mind cultural differences. What the English think acceptable is not what the Americans do - the lady in the chain mail dress for example. And yet that dress revealed nothing improper!!
