What to do about those who refuse a vaccine?

You will be able to go on holiday but where could be restricted. What was it JVT reportedly said yesterday?? It is too early to say - very sensible.

Local cruise start was obviously the only option months ago when only domestic travel was in the visibility window.

We are moving to a transition period where the options may open up if things go to plan but other countries will need to do a bit of catchup.



RCI have managed it with Israel which is ahead of us and the promise of a vaccinated ship has opened up a deal with Cyprus and Greece.

That will be one to watch but as ever there are some unknows lurking with variants and it will take a bit of time to know if they pose a threat to the May schedule.


The UK is next in the vaccine line but they would need a deal to get the crews vaccinated at least a month before start if they want to use the same model.

That could be on the cards by June as by the mid April we should have all over 50s and vulnerable and end of April 4-6m into the 40-50 group.
that enough to partially fill a ship if they can get the crew done.


Ex UK most of mainland EU is a mess and Norway Baltics may not want travel for a while so can't see ships going to many ports.

If we could join with the Israel plan then charter flights into Cyrus or Israel could be an option


Meanwhile there are ships operating without a vaccine hurdle to jump and seem to be doing OK, not heard of any new outbreaks with the measure they have in place.

As I understand it the vaccine is only to protect the individual should he/she become infected. It reduces the symptoms and the risk of serious illness. It does not stop the individual from catching the virus and transmitting it to others.

If this is the case does it matter if someone has had the vaccine or not in everyday life?

That is my 'take' on the situation as well and I still feel that it has not been tested long enough, when
Pfizer state on their site that they only expected to be able to put it forward for approval, (after going
through ALL the relevant testing stages), in January 2023. At this stage, it had not been APPROVED
but only aulthorised for emergency measures.
