Crikey, that made interesting reading. Most of that topic is 8 years old and many of the posters have long gone for one reason or another. Some must have moved on and others are listed as banned members.
It's good to see that many are still posting though, yourself included TD.
Does anyone know how to delete membership from this forum?
I thought there would be a really obvious 'button' for this - maybe under 'user settings' - but I can't see anything!
When you log in, going into user settings and delete your profile and account details Then log out and remove the links from your phone, tablet, computer etc or whatever device use use to log in.
I didn't see the thread so don't know what went on either but I have been visiting the site less often precisely for this reason. In the last few weeks I have mentioned the old principle of criticize the post not the poster .
It's difficult because I think many forum members are reluctant to report posts that have crossed the line,as we are a community. It has struck me that admin could have intervened before.
As well as my repeated mantra about the post and the poster,I would say don't put labels on people who you don't really know and don't call people something that you wouldn't like to be called yourself. In fact there is no need for any personal comments.
All that said, most of the time this is a great forum and we all can benefit from it.
Very very well said Amar! Sadly - as is evidenced by two of the main ‘offenders’ being amongst the first few to respond to your post - it will fall on a number of deaf ears. Some people need to opine daily (often a number of times) to serve their own needs rather than to set out their actual experiences to help the many nice people who use this forum. By the way, excellent posts recently - based on experience not just opinion! - to help the many of us facing problems over cancelled or cancelling cruises and getting refunds or FCCs etc.
