    Bravo. Live from lightweight blog.

Boarded Celebrity Silhouette today for the Bravo cruise celebrating the performing arts.

Southampton was a breeze the second trip in 2 weeks.
10:30 it was freeflow boarding with no line at security or checkin.
Parking car to boarding 15mins with walking time.

Lunch was ready in the buffet and grill at 11:30, for higher tier the sit down restaurant options also available.
As we had skipped breakfast we grabbed a quick snack going for a proper lunch at 12:45.

The ships was very quiet as they had the wedding on in a few venues.

Music kicked off at 2pm to day headliners are Wynne Evans & Alfie Boe with 7 other acts featuring around the ship.

Muster drill is early (now) to accommodate the football.

Sounds fantastic, have a wonderful time.
An American line can show the football and do the muster around it, some people were complaining that P&O were not even showing the game! .................................................. ....................................Carol

Alfie did his three shows and leaves the ship today.
He did about 45mins with the orchestra filling out to an hour.
Entertaining interactions with the audience and he got people up dancing at their seats.
We dropped into the last show for a second helping.

There has been an issue brewing as elites have not got their perks turns out the charter company may have to pay for them.
Only a minor inconvenience for us as the main perk was the 3 free drinks.
Yesterday they were doing offers on the drinks package 6 days for the price of 5 so bought one.

Celebrity have been on a hard sell for drink and restaurant packages as well as special meals even touting at the dinner table.
They want $40 for an Indian dinner when the buffet has great indian selections.
Some have paid a lot for this cruise and are finding being asked for more particularly annoying.

We have a long day in Bilbao 8am-10pm there are around 2000 doing a Guggenheim tour number that was included for those that paid before the discounting of the fares started.

Once we have breakfast we will decide what we will do.

Fairly light music schedule and I expect the ship will be quiet today.
At 9pm we have Wynne Evans reports from the first show are good

I wonder it the charter company made this clear when people booked? The Elite would also lose free washing ,internet, and dry cleaning.

How is the food and service Topdeck, one review thought it not up to scratch ....Taffy

People have letters saying perks will happen I understand negotiations are ongoing.
For a 7n I can live without laundry, internet would have been used.

Food has been fine good selection at the buffet, dinner menus look normal, service is a bit different as fixed dining is not fixed tables.
Bar service at my chosen locations has been good, one of the bars does not stock one of my preferences, if they get some today I will be happy.

Overall probably feels a little below par, first 2 days very pushy on the extras. There are a lot of first timers and new to celebrity things should settle into routine.

Just now stretcher rushed through the buffet.
                  .
                  .
                  .
                  Crew drill.

Last night late was silent disco, good crowd having fun, Alfie turned up to spend a bit of time with fans.

The 80s cruise had a much larger group of hard core late night passengers, so far this cruise is slowing down from around 11:30.
The difference in music has changed the age demographic up a lot resulting in a lot having early nights.

On my recent Celebrity cruise, alcoholic beverage packages were sold at half price.

If you had a pre-paid beverage package and visited Guest Services, you were refunded the difference.

Drinks coupons were 6 per cabin. Unused coupons were handed round freely.

The first batch of excursion coaches have arrived back at the same time.

Big queue had formed in the terminal backed up to the escalator and stairs, they have just opened the snake barrier to clear in time for the next coach.

Port security has the line moving quite quickly.

                            Go compare.

Good bit of banter from Wynne Evans, more orchestra time to help fill an hour show.

Apart from the theatre the ship does not have a good second venue for popular acts the sky lounge is the biggest and is rammed standing room only and more coming in, word us Mark Vincent us very good should start soon.

Yesterday was a sea day kicked off with a 10am jiaxin Lloyd-Weber we did not go, noon was Mirusia for one group we ate scheduled another day.

The evening show was the National symphony orchestra with Jonathan welch with a pax choir, Mark Vincent,Tommy Fleming, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Alexander Flood.

They did this 3times once for each group, this system works well as it spreads people and there is no need to queue or struggle to get seats.

Other artists performed through the day and evening.

As the week goes on some acts are gathering a following which can overload the chosen venue.
This ship only has one big space the theatre the second is the sky lounge which is a very nice space as a lounge but does not work well for watching performances, other spaces have very limited capacity resulting in people unable to attend and disappointed.
