Do you have a digital album showing images of the cards in your current collection? It would be interesting to able to see them all.

SORRY APLMAC. Cunard are now taking the cards off us as well now. Was hoping to get you one from the Queen Victoria a few weeks ago, but they would not give it back to me. Giving security reasons.

You were supposed to 'lose' your card... :D

Strangely, lost cards are not a security issue.
If they were, you'd see great teams of security people
combing the entire ship to locate the lost card.
It would look a lot like a drugs sweep. ;)

          Thanks for trying, anyway!

Will try harder next time. I did the lost card bit, but I thought twice in one week was a bit much.

Thanks for the Photobucket link, Aplmac. I've got a starter collection of RCI items going - do you have any older (pre 2000) cards in your collection besides the ones there?

Pre-2000 cards are not easy to come by!!

Go have another look and you'll see three cards I've just posted up:
                * Windspirit from 1992
                * Cunard Countess from Oct. 1994
                * an undated green-and-white card from Windstar.

I consider myself to be very fortunate to have
these oversize cards of dimensions exceeding the standard credit-card-size we know today.
They are printed on thick-ish card (not plastic)
with no magnetic stripes on their backs: that technology was yet to come!

                speaking of which...
I have only 2 or 3 (standard-size) plastic cards from the mid-1990s? that don't have mag.stripes on their backs.
All other plastic cards I have carry a mag.stripe on the reverse side.

I see that the card gives the voyage number. Would that help you getting the year of the cruise by going into the history of the cruise line?

Yes, I guess if you dug around enough in Company archives
you'd come up with a date.

I got three cards of similar vintage all from the same ancient mariner!
Taking into account the known dates on two other cards in the lot
                    (-one of which below-)
it should be safe to assume the green-and-white card was also issued
                    in the early 1990s.
