Hi all
I suspect we all walk through the art galleries on ships and wonder at the prices and the authenticity of the painting.
Getting off Arcadia on Monday one guy was carrying a huge framed painting,,,I wondered what it cost, and if it was worth it.
The NYT did an expose last month on one prolific painter for cruise ship galleries by the name of Peter Max,they reported that the painter had had advanced dementia since 2012 and hadn't personally painted a picture for 4 years,,,instead an army of artist paint in his style,,,they stick a brush in his hand to sign his name,,,,gallery owners say this is common practice going back to the days of Michaelangelo's studio.
Would you feel short changed if you found this out after paying $$$$$ for a painting?
Anybody ever bought a painting at one of the Art Auction's at Sea?
ps,Peter Max did the hull design on NCL Breakaway.
