Will cruise documentary do more harm than good?

British viewers will get a warts-and-all look at the workings of a cruise ship in a new four-part documentary coming to ITV next month.

Called The Cruise Ship, the documentary will go behind the scenes on board the 3,600-guest Royal Princess vessel, giving the general public access to footage of staff and crew members.

What do you think? Are you tuning in, or turning off?

I'll definitely be tuning in. I can only commend Princess for allowing the filming, they are after all taking a huge risk. I dont think anyone can foresee how it will turn out. I remember a few years back (might be Island Escape? ) had a weekly tv programme...enough to put anyone off cruising for life.

Even 'Fly on the Wall' type documentaries which appear to paint the organizations in a bad light, increase their profiles which increases bookings.

As they say: There is no such thing as bad publicity!

I like most documentaries to do with cruising or indeed ships.
Providing it done fairly not like C4 Celebrity carve up then it should be fine...Taffy

The BBC docu soap filmed on Celebrity Galaxy in the '90's, made Jane McDonalds name for her.
It also drew me to Cruising.
I just wish I had started sailing on Celebrity, but in those days they didn't sail from UK.
