    Ambience - The Food

    Dear Members,

I took some images of the food served in Ambience's main dining room, the "Buckingham". (Sad I know!)

Now I though that the food and service was very good, but I'm never sure if images can do it justice. Anyway, here they are:

Thanks, Malcolm. For those of us still cruise-starved, it was lovely to be reminded of the culinary delights on board!

The food looks nice and tasty, but they need to be a bit tidier with their presentation - a few smears and crumbs left where they should not be.

The ship itself looks like a ferry to me. I loved CMV and loved the rust bucket Marco Polo as I guess it could be called "vintage". I think the new owners have picked up Ambience at a reasonable price, but she does not look as though she has the wow factor of newer ships in the market, but has similar prices.

The food looks very nice Malcolm, just a shame that I’m on a fat free diet at the moment! 😆Typical!

        Take care. Helen🥗🍽

The prices have been slowly dropping to more sensible levels for some dates.

Ambassador advertise on a radio station i listen to and sound very premium. Not sure seeing the food. Looks good but not top notch. A lot of sauce blobs and smears.

Thanks for posting, Malcolm .Were there 'always available ' type options for those who like plainer food?
Not me, BTW.I did read in another review that they are good at accommodating special diets ,so I would hope they can also vary their options?
I guess time will tell as to how accommodating they are.

That is not how I would phrase it Carol. Dietary restrictions and food allergies/intolerances can play a role.

Personally, I thought the food looked very messy and the menus unappealing. I don’t expect Cordon Bleu offerings when meals are mass produced, but food should look appetising and Malcolm’s photos do not show that. Just my opinion.

Ambassador are NOt premium, although I'd say that Ambinece is a notch or two above some of CMV's ships. At least it did not feel well worn. (But the air-con and heating clearly was!)

Yes there was "always avaible" selections such as chicken.
