    The Joys of Modern Technology

Having seen Fred Olsen's Borealis in Portsmouth yesterday, news is that she is still there. The Captain has reported to all passengers that they can't start the engines due to a computer software problem.

As a result, the ship's next cruise, which was due to sail from Liverpool tomorrow, has been cancelled.

    Whoops!

Thanks for the update TD. I wasn't wrong when I posted about her leaving Portsmouth yesterday then. Looks like a couple of failed attempts to get nowhere very far.

Wrong info it seems. Borealis didn't leave Portsmouth until lunchtime today.

That's OK JC. You know that I prefer older, traditional ships. Not that the 2 new additions to Fred's fleet can really be called old. Floating blocks of flats they are not though!

    Hi Garf
The starting handles were for the use of Fred passengers.

    P.S.
    Millenials....
I thought pretty much the same Garf. It will be interesting to see how long she is stuck in Portsmouth- no doubt the mooring costs will add to the refunds for the next cruise will sting Fred O.
