    Long term layup/defacto decommissioned:



    11. Carnival Fascination - moved to long term layup in Cadiz, Spain; no timeline for return to service

    Carnival Cruise Line today announced the sale of Carnival Fascination and Carnival Imagination, which had previously been put on long-term lay-up status and removed from published itineraries.

    Both ships are expected to be scrapped

    PS At least you have the old Rotterdam coming to Liverpool.
    Hi Annie,yes its good news that Borealis is doing a more extended season in Liverpool as ,after CMV's demise,its the only ship offering Liverpool turnarounds at present.
    I may have to give it a try sometime though I didnt enjoy my one experience of Fred Olsen so far on Braemar .

    I assume it's not just about age, but popularity and overheads etc.

    Aurora at 20 years old has at least another 5-10 good years in her, but does she fit in with the exisiting fleet?
