I am sure this is an old "friend" returned under a new guise. It makes wonderful reading and the fish are certainly coming up and taking the bait.

I actually meant the Major had a rival Jim rather than it was the Major.
There are simiarities, but also differences.
Whoever wrote it, it's amusingly disparaging but no way could I take it seriously, at all.

I have never seen or met anyone like those Brit low-life passengers suggested in the review and would not wish to either but if things are really getting that bad I can see why the likes of MSC are having separate sections of their ships for 'civilized' guests only called the Yacht Club.

It is brilliantly written but it is not a valid opinion or a negative one. If is a wonderful spoof of all the things that people invariably say, "I don't think that way, it's rude and insulting" when in fact they occasionally do think that way.

PM you are not even slightly amused? There is so much thought and effort put into that, it must have taken some time. The embellishment of all the things we all say now and again about our fellow travellers is superb and to dismiss it the way you do surprises me.

I am also just amazed at the reaction he/she has obtained by the on-looking crowd. You have to admire that.

Great piece of writing. I think it's great when people don't read between the lines and go ranting off on the piece, as it gives me a good laugh. The major had a good following and people looked forward to his reviews.
