Question o taking drinks back to room

Does anyone know what the rules are on taking drinks to the room. We are considering taking out one of the drinks packages, but drinks by room service would be extra, so are we allowed to take say a bottle of wine back to the room?

you can take any drinks that you have bought back to your cabin. what ship/package? I don't know any that will give you a full bottle of wine at the one time a glass, yes, but a bottle, no.
don't want to work, just want to cruise.

Yes you can on P&O you can bring wine on board to have in your cabin.. some lines the US ones seem not to allow this.. its worth checking with the line. SOme take the drink and give it back to you on the last day.

The cruise line would be a great help in giving a specific answer. but assuming you have bought a wine package on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity, you can take as many bottles back to your cabin as you like.

The bottom line is that the sooner you finish the package, the sooner they will try to sell you another.........Wilba

If its a Royal Caribbean drinks package then you can order a drink from the nearest bar and take it back to your cabin with you (by the glass).

If however you have ordered a wine package (which is different to the drinks package)
Then yes any bottles, full or half full, whatever can be taken where you want, whether that be back to the cabin or onto the next bar. However you usually have to request these bottles from the MDR.

The wine package is a purchase of xx number of bottles at a discounted price - these you can share with whom you like too.

However drinks packages are specific to the person/individual.
