    NCL increases UBP charges

    Hi All

    w.e.f. Sep 29, UBP increases from $79 to $89 plus 18% gratuity.

I wonder if this will impact on UK pricing eventually ( I know a different pricing model).

They have followed Princess, any bets on the next cruise line to increase the prices of drink packages!

NCL started new sale on Tues(26th 2nd) with another £200 off selected cruise on top of the current offers.

Since going Premium AI in the UK NCL have added extra promotions on top.

The current extras per cabin on selected cruise but not GTY cabin rates(which still get the premium AI)

    $50 shore ex per port
    250min wifi
    £160 air credit
    £75 hotel credit
    120mins of phone calls.

I saw that TD but some the pricing is a tad on the high side? They are bundling but not everyone requires or even wants the bundle?

                    So $89 + 18% = $105, at today's rate = £78 per day per person. WOW.

For a 14 day cruise = £1,092 per person or £2,184 for a couple just for drinks. WOW, WOW, WOW.

                    Does anyone buy the package?

IN the UK it is included on all bookings(since April 17)... Germany and some others got it earlier.

in the US it is often included as a perk, BUT they still have to pay the gratuity and that goes up if the base prices does.
In the US perks are not included on GTY/sailaway rates and you can not take the perks on regular cabins but you don't get a discount you just don't pay the grats.

if you want NCL perk free book US.

                          Hi all
Makes £3040 for a midship balcony cabin for 12 nts+ DP for 2 on Celebrity Eclipse seem like a steal.

Isn't the price of a DP irrelevant if all booking include a DP in the price,,,,shouldn't it be the price of the AI cruise people should be looking at.
As I did on the Celebrity cruise above.

I wish P&O would introduce a AI drink package.

Not irrelevant if you book via the USA which you can do.

PS I think there is a niche in the market for a family cruise line that does not include a DP in their pricing. I know of families who have sailed with Thomson - enjoyed the cruise but state they will not cruise with them again until they remove the DP.

                              Hi Annie
It would be irrelevant to me,I wouldn't book in the US if I couldn't get the included DP.

In fact I have come to the decision that other than P&O I won't book any line I can't get the included DP with.

Maybe when I get to the stage in my life when I can no longer swallow the Irish stuff,I might join the Temperance Society.
