“Our updated Plain Sailing Guarantee allows guests to book a sailing for next year, knowing that they have the flexibility to change to another cruise – or even have their deposit refunded – before they make their final payment.“

Better than P&O and presumably Cunard. Will they have to change and follow suit?

Do Cunard and FO have the same segment of the market??

Just another attempt to get new money off people.

Keep your money and book when there is a chance you can go like the next week.

Fine if you can go at the drop of a hat and don't mind which class of cabin or position you get.

And if you're getting your deposit back if you cancel seems like a no brainer to me.

Fred has quite a bit of my money in their coffers. It was transferred from a cancelled cruise this year (I should have been in New York yesterday and today) to a cruise next July.

Being a Fred fan, I'm happy to help keep them going if I can.
