Cunard marks 180 years of service

‘Samuel Cunard’s new company begins the first scheduled Transatlantic service aboard Britannia’ - 4th July 1840

And apparently Charles Dickens sailed with them in the 1840’s to Boston. The first of a long list of celebrities who sailed in much later years.

Hope the company, and we, are around to celebrate their double century!

Wilba and Garfield, what was that first Cunard cruise line 180 years ago?
