    ** Urgent - Celebrity tickets **

What do you need tickets for?

Your online checkin has all the info required, just hand that in with your passport and credit card, they no longer ask for the ticket book they just scan the barcode on your paperwork.

The only value in having the ticket book is the information regarding excursions should you wish to participate........Wilba

Wilba, wonder if MSQuill is referring to the Set Sail pass?

There is something up with the RCI website and has been for a while. I bought something through their gift shop to have on board and although they've taken the money from my credit card, it doesn't show up on my cruise planner although other things do. Also. I've made a few attempts to book a My Time Dining time but the site times out.

Have emailed RCI to find out if these problems are all related.

They dont issue luggage tags anymore. You can request them but you have to do so at least 10 days prior to sail date. They give you an example on your express pass print out.

We have always just made our own for the past few years or there will be someone at the luggage handover point who will dish them out.

True! I've made my own before now, all you need is your name and cabin number.

              Liz,
If you purchase something via the Gifts section in particular, it wont show up on your cruise personaliser/planner. Just make sure you have a screen dump of anything you have ordered or get them to email you a confirmation as there is nothing automatic and no proof other than that they have taken money on your C.Card.

Mmm! You could be right. Maybe the OP will come back to clarify.

On our recent Eclipse cruise, we did not have the usual spiral bound 'ticket booklet' just an Email asking us to download a printable ticket booklet in the form of EDocs.

Although I printed this off - pages of it! Using my ink and my paper! They never asked for it, just the express sea pass with the barcode on it was all they wanted.

You just print a Sea Pass for chek-in with Celeb & RCI. And when I got to Southampton last Wednesday then you queue up and ask the man at the desk in the car park for a luggage tag before unloading your case and continuing to your Terminal or Shuttle car park

                      Hi all
Got my tickets for upcoming cruise with RCL last Friday including luggage tags. From T/A.
                      Checked in on-line.
Doing My time dining for first time, when i went to book a time for the week it said times all booked up from 19:30 to 21:00,usually like 19:45 to 20:00,so booked for 19:15 as after 21:00 is to late for us (no drinking time!!).
Do you think these times are held for passengers who havn't pre-booked or are they genuinely pre-booked (the 19:30-21:00 times).

I do think that possibly they only allow a certain number to prebook and you may get lucky if you just turn up each night. Having said that we found prebooking to be a waste of time. Like you we wanted a popular time and had managed to prebook every night for 7.45pm on a ten night cruise.

After turning up at allotted time, we still had to wait for a table to become available pushing the time in some instances to almost 8.20 which was so close to the second sitting time. To add to that we have never been so rushed through a meal in such a hurry. Dirty plates taken away with one hand and following course put down with the next. Five course meal completed in less than 40 mins!

We gave up after 3 nights and asked to be switched to Second Seating - much more civilised and able to build up a good rapport with same wait staff.

We were told had we wanted a different time slot there would be no problems. It was apparantly always easy to get a table at around 6.30 to 7pm or 8.30 to 9pm but that kind of defeated the object! We never go first sitting - far too early and just lately we are finding the 8.30 sitting just a tad too late, often not finishing meals until 10.30

I would say go with it and give it a try - if it doesnt work out, just do what we did and ask to go back to a regular sitting time.

JC, I have tried My Time, Freestyle call it what you will on 3 different lines, the last being on Celebrity of whom I expected so much more.

Not one of these cruise lines give what they say they will i.e. "Eat when you like"........More like "Wait until you're called".....or "Wait in line" .....or even "Go to the bar, here's a pager"

Sorry to be so disparaging but if I'm booked in at a certain time, I expect to arrive at the appointed time and be escorted to a table immediately. The reality is you stand in a queue behind the 'on speck arrivals' whilst they try and arrange a table for them.

When you make it to the front of queue chances are you will be told to stand in the corner or if you're very lucky you will be escorted in.

I know there are many who swear by this style of dining but they're not all grumpy old sods like me..........Wilba

Good morning JC. Interesting comment. I too tried to book Tuscan Grill, Qsine and Murano for our October Eclipse cruise, 2 nights each, on line last week. On every date for each restaurant they came back as fully booked on the times 7.30 to 8.15. And that's for restaurants with a supplement charge.

Thank God for Cunard Grills over Christmas and New Year.

Richard, I know for sure that Celebrity only allow a certain amount of the bookings to be made on line. They hold back some for on board booking and will give particular preference to those in suites or with Elite Captains Club Status.

I booked QSine on our recent four nighter within two hours of boarding. No problem for the time and evening of my choice.
