Carnival anti-sunbed hogging program to be rolled out Fleetwide

    Hi All

Apologies in advance if this has already been posted.

Carnival's anti-sunbed hogging program has proved so successful -- it is to be implemented fleetwide from mid-Oct.

I wonder if/when Carnival's UK lines will be affected.

I understand it is a 40 minute rule.

    I am all for it.

I wonder how they arrived at the magical figure of 49 minutes?

I was wondering if it was a scientific measurement of the average lunchtime

It's probably based on the average time it takes to spend some extra money on-board.

Customer satisfaction is generally uppermost in the thoughts of most US businesses so you wonder why it has taken so long for these procedures to come into force.

On the other hand full marks to Carnival for taking the bull by the horns and starting something which may be standard thoughout cruise lines in the future. One would hope so anyway. .....Neil

They ran this rule whilst I was on the Carnival Breeze last September (2012) and it did seem to work well although they didnt seem to enforce quite as much as i would have liked,

Hooray, I do hope this becomes the norm on all cruise ships. It is my pet hate.
