Fred Olsen used to do Golf cruises. The golfers used to be taken to the courses by coach at each port. I don't think they do it now although they still have the golf nets on board and sometimes instructors. I used to watch them from afar with great interest they seemed a happy bunch and had a wonderful time. I admire anyone that follows a sport on holiday but I just like to enjoy the journey and the ports. I think I will take up Loom Bands on my next cruise but maybe with full size rubber bands that would be interesting! See how long it would take me to make a rope right round the promenade deck! It could be used to attache the ship to the quay when docking would certainly allow for flexibility with the tide!
