    Hi Peeps,

We were there in November 18 months ago and it was changeable. Could be quite windy, rain, some of it heavy, and chilly on board in the evening if on deck.

On our Alaska cruise I think they offered an excursion to a cannery.

    Layers.

Normal stuff for in the ship that will do for off ship as well just have some warm(fleece) and some wet(lightweight rain).

if it goes cold and wet...

if hot a couple of pairs of shorts extra.

we do this to hot climates as well we had 35+c coming down the Mexican coast rained in Panama.

Hi mark our first cruise was to the canaries from Southampton in October 2012. I expected the first couple and last couple of days to be a bit chilly but I still packed too many jumpers. We had rain in Vigo our first point of call but that's not unusual for Northern Spain. Once we got down to Lisbon the sun was out but there was a bit of a chill in the wind. After that it was sunshine blue sky's and calm seas. It was hot enough to sunbathe on the beach in gran canaria and swim in the sea.
the canaries in a popular winter destination as the temp is consistent. You'll be fine with t shirt's and shorts and swimmers in the canaries and maderia if you call there. Just pack a couple of jumpers for the first and last couple of sea days. Also if you like to walk out on deck at night a cardy or light jacket would be a good idea because it can get a little chilly once the sun goes down.

We spent a month in Feb this year and the weather was brilliant October should be the same (on average).
