    Voyager in April 2017

We are flying out to Sydney, having 3 days in the area of Darling Harbour, before joining Voyager of the Seas for a cruise to Singapore and flying back home.

We are booked on a flight to Hong Kong, and changing planes for the UK leg.The original idea was to go to UK direct from Singapore, but it left earlier in the morning; we wondered if anyone else was doing the same route as us.

Since it is thefirst time we've done such a long haul, any tips would be very welcome and much appreciated.

Hi, I'm doing the first bit the same, Flying to Sydney via Singapore, 3 nights in Sydney. We're flying home from Singapore though. It's our first time too, and may be we should have looked into doing different flights, but it was such a good price, we've gone with the route suggested.

Apparently Singapore Airport is a resort in itself, I'm sure we'll find something to do to keep us occupied until our flight. Hopefully we'll be so tired, we shall sleep on the plane .................................................. ...............Carol

Hi Carol, I often see you on the fun and games forum.Originally we were flying from Singapore back home, but John told us it was earlier in the morning, and might prove to be a bit of a rush, so he found the other choice, which goes at about 4.0 pm. We still get back to Heathrow early on May 4th, and as far aas we know the price was the same. One other thing John re-arranged was to suggest we left Heathrow late on the evening before, or we would have lost a day at Darling Harbour. We still have to do the on-line visa for Australia, when it's a bit nearer the time.
i just wondered if anyone else would be dong the same return route as us.

A similar route, we are flying Singapore Airlines from Sydney to Heathrow via Singapore. Our second flight departs Singapore at 23:30 and gets into Heathrow at 5:50. Singapore Airlines on one of their A380's which we are looking forward to.
The original flight itinerary gave us just few hours in Singapore between flights and we made the decision to book a hotel for the night to take some time out from flying.
If I'm correct your flight is from Singapore and you don't have the hassle of a flight from Oz too.

Hi, Wansborough, I wouldn't fancy flying that distance both ways; cruising from Sydney to Singapore gives us a long break between flying, and stopping at the ports on the way will add to the experience. There seems to be some varied times of flights back home.

We are going via Los Angeles on the way out and will stop for 2 nights, its giving us the opportunity to meet up with family.
