    Husky rides....clothes....rough seas......any advice?

First trip to cold climates - how do we plan?

We’ve got all the outdoor gear sorted but what to wear onboard? Because of the outside conditions, will it be cooler onboard? Do we need jumpers and trousers as opposed to blouse or dress?
Do we need to take Kroner or can we use credit cards ashore for everything?
should we expect rough seas all the way?
Has anyone booked independant trips beforehand and found it to be ok? ( we usually do as they tend to be more personal and less crowded as well as much cheaper but we have no experience of Norway)

Probably not, the inside of the ship should be comfortable, unless the air-con is on too high!

Do we need to take Kroner or can we use credit cards ashore for everything? A few Kroner for a coffee or a bus ride but otherwise credit cards are fine

should we expect rough seas all the way? Just as the Bay of Biscay, can be glassy smooth or rough but not a problem on a large cruise ship unless you are prone to seasickness

Check Weatherbase.com for the average temperatures for the ports you are visiting at the time of the year you are going. Trondheim for example is -2 or -3 deg C in the winter and 12 or 13 deg C in the summer. As I write, 11:00am 22nd January 2018, Trondheim is actually -11 deg C. Brrrrr.

Bergen slightly warmer but frequently raining so perhaps not plan a trip there if rain would interfere.
