newbies wanting a cruise but need help!

    hi e1,

hubby and i are looking to cruise hawaii next october. we are both late 40's and it will be just the 2 of us.

we have never cruised before and after spending quite some time researching we are at a loss still!

we want a cabin with a balcony, but it seems theres an array to choose from. what would peoples recommendations be for...

    cruise line/travel company/ship?

    cabin choice/deck etc...

    thanks in advance

car01e, the different lines tend to cater for different types of people. You need to work out what kind of experience you want and then match it to the ship/cruise line. For example, are you young, old or young at heart? Do you like dressing up or do you want a casual experience. Do you like bingo and/or Educational Lectures/ Etc. etc.

Hi my daughter and I went to Hawaii acouple of years ago with Princess and had a really great time we had an inside cabin which suited us as we did not spend much time in it apart from sleeping as there was so much to see.

Bless!! How about Princess then, 2 formal nights, smart but casual dinning for the rest of the time. Have a look at their web site but someone may come up with a better idea.

    First cruise, huh?

Go for the least expensive accommodation you think will suit you
since anything you book for your first cruise will be OK.

Ours was a lowly Carnival inside cabin (no window at all) and it was OK. ;)

By now of course, we prob. wouldn't want an inside again but it's not impossible.
It would be a bit of a come-down after the last two balcony cruises
but we'd probably live through the ordeal..
    :D
