    Pullmantur cruises

    Hi
We're newbies and are taking our first cruise with Pullmantur in April as we are really looking forward to the itinerary, but there doesn't seem to be much info about cruising with this cruise line. Has nobody cruised with them?

The reason is that they are a Spanish based company catering for the Spanish market so I hope you are reasonably competant in the Spanish language. This is the main reason why there are not many UK users. They are now owned by Royal Caribbean.

      Hi JAS
I put this post on in July.

"I went on a Pullmantur cruise in Oct 08.
My wife and i were the only English on board, but it didn't stop our enjoyment of the cruise, well me anyway,,wife wasn't sure.
I am a bit of a Spain lover.
We are always in Spain so know what to expect with the Spanish.
      Loud,no queuing etc
They loved the game shows in the Theatre/Disco + they were full every night, but they were not keen on the Casino.
The main Entertainment Lounge had great bands on + played both Spanish + English music but strangely was usually empty.
The party atmosphere was mostly in Theatre + main bar.
The entertainment in the Bar was mostly a Mariachi band.
We never felt left out as the Spanish welcomed us into their partying.
The A/I was brilliant,no local beers + house brand spirits, what you wanted you got + they poured until you told them to stop.
The food on board was Spanish,no English bacon/sausage + i don't think i saw chips all week.
One night in restaurant it said Leg of Lamb, yes it was,a hugh hock.
We where sat on a table with a lovely couple from Grand Canaria and had good fun with my limited Spanish + his/her English, but i did learn a lot.
I don't know if its a Spanish thing but i think every single person went on excursions + the ship was empty from 9-4.
All the staff speak English + announcements are multilingual.
Oh yes, there was smoking areas in all the bars"

If you put Pullmantur in Search box there are a few posts on Pullmantur.

            Hi There

Glad to see you have chosen Pullmantur Cruises, I have been on a number of their Cruises and they are great value for money (no bar bill) . As for language`s spoken onboard its Spanish & English, The Theatre shows are more visual than verbal as the Cruiseline sells to 37 different Countries.Other entertainment onboard tends to be a little Latino but that to me is good old fashion toe tapping music, your daily bulletin is in English as is your dinner menu`s, your waiting staff and cabin staff will also be English speakers. If you need more info , please ask...........Kelvin (kelv2754)

My husband and I are cruising on the Pullmantur Sovereign out of Barcelona on March 26th. We are really looking forward to a different cultural experience and the opportunity to improve our Spanish.

My husband and I are booked on the Pullmantur Zenith from Athens to Ravenna, Italy departing April 9, 2012. This is our first cruise on Pullmantur. Our itinerary shows that the ship sails at 23:59 but there is no information about a time that boarding begins. We like to board the ship as early as possible. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

                            Hi There
The ship docks in Athens at 08.00 and disembarkation would normally start at around 9/9.30 .
Embarkation should start around 1pm. this would be the earliest you can embark, as the crew have to get the Ship in shape for the new guest.
