One of the pics are Canberra and a bar list from '58/60 of Arcadia.

Your .28p Lager would have been expensive as a pint was one shilling, that's 5p in new money.

Ten pints for 50p, now that's the real deal.............Wilba

We did over 20 cruises on Canberra in the 70s and 80s. Cruising really felt like a luxurious holiday then. We paid alot more for our cruises then than now. I can remember being introduced to Chicken Kiev and our first taste of Kiwi fruit. Yes many cabins were not ensuite but we never had to wait for a bathroom or shower and we had 2 young children too.

I don't think any one manages to download a picture using the forums icons. The only way I can do it is to put my pictures on my page on face book and then copy them over. Good luck.............................................. ..............................................Caro l

I loved the Canberra, I cruised on her as a teenager,my single cabin was about the size of a broom cupboard (I'm not exaggerating!).the ship was a bit of a basket case of a design with its concrete in the hull to keep the nose down but it had real character.
