I was lucky enough to cruise on the SS France when she was owned by NCL and called the SS Norway. They purchased this Ocean Liner in 1979 and converted her into the then biggest cruise ship in the world.

Personally I think Mr.Spade's idea of an SS France is a pipe-dream, just like 'Titanic 2' and returning the' SS United States' back to service.

There are some images of the France II on my blog. There is also a review of my SS Norway crossing. (Its a non-profit blog, with no adverts and no commercial interests).
