Day a Three onboard the Silver Spirit

Today we were due in to Princess Cays but unfortunately they can't operate the tenders due to bad weather conditions so the Captain has decided to sail straight to Nassau, so we arrived at 6pm. The entertainment staff have quickly come up with a new activities programme including an enrichment talk with Capt. Larry Rudner, a movie, bridge games and a trivia quiz. Of course this is all optional but nice to know it is available if you want it.

Last night we dined in La Champagne, the restaurant is very intimate and you have different wine for each course. To start with we had a selection of d'oeuvres followed by a starter of gold leaf risotto, a porcini mushroom soup, New Zealand rack of lamb then a orange and coconut covered banana dessert. The lamb was the highlight of my meal it was very tender and just perfectly cooked. The waitress was very friendly and professional it was certainly silver service at it's best. She helped us chose our courses and advised us which food would best suit our individual tastes, it was very impressive.

This afternoon we had afternoon tea onboard, the waiter brought out a tall tray list of tea to chose from around thirty different teas where on offer. The waiter brought out sandwiches, cookies, cakes and you could chose from chocolate or raisin scones. It was beautiful.

This evening we arrived in Nassau and we went to see 'Abbalicious' in the theatre, it was an hour show which included all of the Abba songs. The singers had amazing voices and the show had a funny edge to it which was really entertaining.

Tonight we dined on deck at experienced the 'hot rocks' style of cooking. I had a starter followed by prawns that they bring out with the hot rock so you can cook them yourself. It was really fun, I just hope I cooked them ok!

Tomorrow we are off in Nassau and we have a Semi Sub Adventure to look forward to. Please have a look at my Facebook page for photos https://www.facebook.com/amy.ginder.7
