They probably will, but you won't get people booking those yet.

Offer something they will book and change it later.

Unless they get cancelled TUI were doing 14 and 21 options.

Once it’s safe and we’re allowed to cruise or do a land holiday then I’m off. My final payment for my April cruise with Oceania isn’t due till Feb 2021 so I should know by then if it’s safe or not.
don't want to work, just want to cruise.

        That's a little early.
        Lockdown might be helping
        vaccine won't have kicked in
        schools will be back

            Fantasist

I still think June is optimistic for sensible UK cruises.
There may be trials by then.

I am watching NCL Joy Alaska on quest(recorded) to get a fix.

No I’m not a fantasist I’m an optimist. Deep down I know this cruise will probably not go ahead but the optimist in me keeps hoping it will. So I’m guessing by your remark TD I’m not a sensible cruiser!

That is not what I said.
Sensible cruisers can do bonkers cruises.

Too cold and wet at the moment, especially for those that like the sun. Maybe come April might happen?

A couple of years back, I did a seven-night cruise out of Southampton, departing early January.

The weather was cold but I didn't mind, as I was able to get off the ship for four full days of exploring in ports. I'd happily do that again.

Not getting off the ship is a deal breaker for us. As others have mentioned, cruise based excursions are expensive and too restrictive. I’ve been pricing up a couple of Celebrity Caribbean cruises for later in the year and there’s an option to add up to $800 for what they categorise as “OBC / excursions” 🤔. Don’t think the cruise lines are telling us the full story. Maybe it’s early days but I can see numerous issues arising when cruising starts again. I don’t think it’s going to be plain sailing tbh. Note; Celebrity didn’t fail me either, checked the price - decent, then went to do some fine tuning the following day and it had gone up £600. Cleared the cookies but no difference. May try the VPN.

With regard to cruise company excursions I guess at least 50% leaving a ship are "doing their own thing" in the main destination venue, i.e. usually the "old town". If forced to take cruise company excursions will such places want or tolerate groups of say 30 traipsing up and down and around "in line stern" to exactly the same "sights" rather than as at present individuals strolling around here there and everywhere, some walking miles, some just taking a short walk. Yes, there maybe less people on board but the numbers could still likely be considerable.

Good point John. It’s definitely going to be a challenge for the cruise lines when it eventually happens.
