    Are you missing cruising...or not?

    Hi all

When it comes to cruising,,which proverb do you think applies or is starting to apply?
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
    Or

Out of sight, Out of mind.

    Or maybe...
    Long absence soon Forgotten.

    Or maybe even....
    When the cats away.......

Or maybe it’s just rising prices,,lack of respect because of cruise lines refund policies after cancelling cruises.

We are definitely missing cruising! Mind you, even a normal land based holiday would be nice. Cruising just always seems extra special to us.

Take care and stay well. Helen

At the price points you have quoted - no.

In a word no, we have 2 in the pipe line for next year and if they go ahead we will enjoy them, not very confident about the January one, If we cant go in October I doubt any cruise lines will still be viable.

Have a land based golf trip in May (Turkey) hopefully that will be OK, time will tell

And for the rest of the time i have on here.another couple of proverbs......
'All good things must come to an end'.....
'Everything ends; good times don't last forever'
They could be good proverbs to describe cruising.

Let the good times roll - for when we return to normal.
I am missing cruising but will not pay inflated prices for a cruise.

No, I'm not missing cruising as we seem to have hit a sort of inertia, travel wise.

We know this year is a write off and have accepted it. Unlike many, we have cabins booked for next year so something to look forward to IF the cruises are allowed to take place. If not, yet another vacation chez nous!!

My OH has had enough of cruising and although I can go with a friend, I won't go as often as before.

I only had one cruise booked this year which was a long one and an itinerary that really appealed. However it was cancelled so I have resigned myself to just the one cruise next year at the moment.

Do I miss it? Well, I miss sitting on deck, looking out to sea and just relaxing. The travel aspect is less of a loss if I'm honest.

Had gaps of a year before,

Still a few months to go till Xmas which will be the year.

                          Ask again in 2021.

                              Hi Garf

Totally agree, do not miss it at all, this will be our 2nd year without going on holiday cruising or otherwise.

As my wife said only today, she does not miss getting ready for a holiday/cruise or the packing.
