    Silver Lining ?

    Hi Everyone

The P&O cruise page on Facebook is full of people that have bought shares as a result of Carnivals seemingly free falling.

Someone said in 2018 they paid £45 a share and at the moment they are £17 and falling. Will you be taking advantage? I wonder how long they would take to recover? ......................................Carol

Great thread Carol. I just mentioned this to Mrs M on a different thread and had been thinking of starting a new one. Royals prices are falling too. I’ve been reading the FB forum threads with interest.
id be interested in buying some shares but wouldn’t know where or how to begin.
    Past cruises:
    Carnival Conquest October 2002
Independence of the Seas October 2012
Independence of the Seas May 2014
Explorer of the Seas June 2015
    Norwegian Escape October 2015

As long as they don't stop the shareholder benefit there is a decent return if you cruise more than once a year on a carnival brand.

      Can't see the dividend surviving.

High Street Bank should be able to help you or if you have an IFA speak to them

I've heard Equitini are very good for the Carnival shares .

I wonder how long you have to hang on to them before you could sell?? .................................................. ......................Carol

Sssssh...don't give the game away...1655 tonight down from 1971 yesterday....Mrs M and I have been tracking it for a while now.
They had a 40% recovery after the H1N1 flu problems so should recover quickly from this latest variation.

I was talking about the carnival shares with a colleague this morning. The price appears to have dropped further during the day. I would invest if I had some spare cash though I believe you need to own 100 shares to get obc (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Shareholders perks aside - how long before the shares recover to give you a profit after costs? Assuming you get bored with their cruise lines and want to bale out.

I would hold off as the whole of Italy is now on lockdown (breaking on sky news)

You can sell them as soon as you want.

Another bonus...petrol prices will fall because of a major slump in the price of crude oil.
Russia and Saudia Arabia fighting out a price war as neither will reduce production to drive prices back up.

That is who I bought mine from several years ago. No problems with them. Brother in law has just bought some through Equiniti . Info on P and O website, somewhere!
