Once on a cruise I was talking to a couple who admitted to me that they always stole a towel to take home ,
When they saw the look of astonishment on my face they said " well don't you " "no I don't " I said " it would never occur to me to do that "
Have you heard of people doing that ? To be honest I don't see myself turning into a thief for the sake of a towel , but there you go they do say it takes all sorts to make a world , when I look back I think I have met a lot of them ,

I must confess that if we have enjoyed a meal at a restaurant and they have nice napkins I have been known to squirrel one away as a memento of the meal and they are nice to use at home, towels no just odd few toiletries if they are nice.

Got to admit, her indoors sometimes takes home a few shampoo and conditioners from Cunard ships, but that's it. We wouldn't dream of stealing the soft furnishings. We've got cupboards full of junk without importing more.

        Hi all
Must admit I take the Celebrity small umbrella,,handy to just leave one in the car.

I don't know if they are free to take or not?

Always take any of the miniature toiletries which I did not use. That's about it.

That was my limit too and maybe the pen with the caveat, they had to be high quality.

                Now I don't bother.

I must confess to "liberating "the odd teaspoon, one from each line we have sailed with. Everytime I use it ,it reminds me of a beautiful cruise .Don't take the toiletries, mostly yuck.

I also take [the ''large''] shampoo bottles home with me from a Cunard trip.

Difference with me is, they're empty. Very handy to transport small amounts of liquid around and can be left in situ as they're easily replaced.

I've never stolen anything although I have been known to empty a couple of the small toiletry bottles to take home as they are very useful for an overnight stay in a hotel, I always mention to the steward I have taken them.

I do have a QE2 ashtray ( from the days before they decided to put Cunard on everything ) I don't consider it was stolen because I asked the bar steward if I could have it and he was happy to give it to me.

Molten Brown toiletries and L’Occitane soap. Our friends take the slippers. The odd bottle of complementary champagne has found its way into the case occasionally.

                              Slippers are single person use.
