Problems with the air bridge, last minute change of gate to get bus to the plane, light load so still got away quite prompt.

flight arrives early, short delay at passport control no longer in the EU line.

Found the testing tent in carpark 5 for the free PCR test to use to get on the ship tomorrow.
then on the train for the quick ride to central station, short walk to the Copenhagen star where our room was ready.

With the flight cancellations we did not want to risk same day flight.

Fantastic lunch at Warpigs a brewpub BBQ place quite close to the hotel in a trendy part of Copenhagen we have not been to before.

Really nice sunny day so going to the botanical gardens and market near norreport station.

      Hi TD
Taking a chance with PCR testing aren’t they,,,you can still show positive up to 90 days after having COVID.
Thats why every other company has reverted to Antigen (LFT) tests.

Antigen is acceptable, don't have to do PCR Denmark offer a free(optional) testing service for visitors.

Maybe we don't read emails or it never comes in time.

Then hope the antigen at the port is negative.

No idea if we have ever had covid, never had symptoms or tested positive yet.

Good afternoon and evening in Copenhagen.
Botanical gardens were a great walk but plant signs in Danish.
The market area is a mix of food stall and some very nice eating drinking paces, very busy for a late Tues afternoon, Copenhagen is pretty much life is back to normal.

We are back for 2 days at the end of the cruise the palm house might get a visit.
Back to the hotel for a rest and a couple of beers, happy hour.

By the time we had rested and changed it was 8pm and we headed to SSAM a Korean place we went to last time we were here still good, only had a small meal as the BBQ lunch still working through.

Tests are both negative so unless NCL reject them we should be boarding NCL Getaway for a modified Baltic itinerary.

This is a repeat of our late 2019 cruise and second on the ship in 6 months(last one was Athens to Civitavecchia)

Going to be interesting how much has changed as that Nov cruise was in full covid safe mode and 30% capacity

Reports are things have relaxed not sure on capacity yet for this sailing.

Plan to get to the port by 11am our 24 transport ticket covered our time in Copenhagen this end of the cruise.

Last time the ship used both terminals one each end of the ship.
The bus dropped us at the end our cabin was but our deck was using the other one, walked full length of the ship twice just to get to the cabin.

took train/bus to port after breakfast, really easy.

short delays getting new bag tags and covid checks at terminal
They had flown over some Southampton port agents to help with check-in, no line straight to a desk and just a couple of mins to get done, quick stop at muster station then customer service to check something and that's us done, sat down with beer and wings 11:30.

Early reports are 1200pax which is going to be around 1/3 capacity,
about the same as Nov trip, getting spoilt by NCL again with low capacity.

1/3 capacity is a far cry from Celebrity cramming them in on the Silhouette.

The next Beyond cruise to ours only had 1k pax...
I'm hoping Sparkle wasn't too lonely.

                    Hi Garf

That was a departure from the European mainland??

It is reported that the SOTON Silhouette sailings are setting the pace for occupancy levels. Probably because we have no quarantine restrictions??

A passenger currently on Silhouette on a Baltic cruise reported 1050 passengers,,,,hardly cramming them in.

                          Hi JC

On a Baltic cruise, I am not surprised and delighted to hear it.

Possibly some US cruisers have read the Covid quarantine threads on cc and changed their plans??

Time will tell for the rest of the season.

                            Hi Garf,

Arrived home on Monday from our Beyond cruise, around 1100 pax, the crew number was around 1200. I will sit down and write a review of our experience shortly but suffice to say we had a brilliant time.

We are on our 4th cabin since booking, got moved when they closed deck 5, bid on upgrade, got balcony with wrong configuration (bed at bathroom end) moved to one close to elevators with the larger corner balcony.
                                Had to ask twice.

They have resurected dinner with the officers another move back to normality.

Ship felt empty last night nowhere got busy, today 9pm departure and quite a few are on the long Berlin excursion so should stay quiet.
