I have a special diet when on a cruise my wife has all my food liquidised so that I can keep my mouth shut ;) it saves the bruising on my legs when she kicks me under the table

does she feed you via an IV drip or a bottle with a dummy? lol ;) I too would like to meet you as a table mate if for nothing else to see your bruising and hear how you got them :D
don't want to work, just want to cruise.

I disagree with the others, I would love to have your wife as a table mate as she sounds like one hell of a girl and I'm sure we would so get on:D

I usually get on with most diners, because I'm a gob on legs, but there's a secret code between G. and self when I'm going over the top- and sometimes it's a quick kick, Spartan!
But on this last cruise, even I was stunned to silence when, after the usual "Where are you from?", a man reached over the table and made his fingers into a cross in front of my face.
So what's wrong with Sellafield?- Jo.
          Jo.

At least we have police round every hour, and almost nil crime......
This guy who crossed his fingers actually did it in my face again when he discovered I was a Yorkie- he was from Lancs- I could bear it the 1st time, but it got silly after that......And, of course, he'd been on hundreds of cruises, all with P&O. More boring, than obnoxious.- Jo.

And I bet you put up with him!! What a 'star' you are, you seem such a tolerant lady! This is one of the many reasons we have a table for 2! I just do not want to have suffer 'boring or obnoxious' people on holiday, it's the one time we do not have to socialise, unless we want to!

I have mentioned it another post Jo, love the new 'avatar'! Lizzie.

Done six p& O cruoises always sat at a table for six and never met one boring table companion and not one of them ever missed a meal
tables for 8-10 I feel are much too big sat at them a few times for lunch and then one has to keep your ears pee;ed in order to catch the conversation from the other end of the table, and if one should not be listening gthen why not a table for six.

When we've sat at large tables i.e. 8/10, they've always been round or oval so conversation is easy. I agree, a rectangular table for 10 wouldn't be as sociable.
