    Hi Mrs RC
My OH doesn't fly and we'd love to do one of the Istanbul cruises.
Is there an option for cruise only pricing?

    Regards

Yes, sail from the Uk to Istanbul.

Highly recommended, it's all on the forum...

Take your pick, P&O, Cunard and even Fred Olsen.

Many thanks for that Richard but we won't be sailing from the UK.
Too many sea days for our liking.
And at only a grand for a suite on MSC it surely has to be a bargain
The only regret is that it's only one day in Istanbul...but hey at those price we can afford to do two.

          Garfield,
I think it is now possible to book using Eurostar from London St. Pancaras to Venice. We recently met a couple who said that with a change of stations in Paris they caught the night sleeper train straight to Venice. No idea of cost.
Perhaps worth a wee bit of research.

Hi there and thank you for your input.
We were discussing this on another thread just a couple of days ago.
I've always used an excellent website called seat61
How to travel by train from London to Italy | Venice Florence Rome & other cities

Around £65 each way per person...bargain.
And as it saves around £1500 on the cost of sailing from the UK we can afford to go twice.
We looked at Azura as Solent Richard suggests in his excellent "One way to do" blog but there are just too many sea days and at 24 days is far too long.
We can do what we want in approx 11 days giving us a couple of days to re-visit Venice (never did get around the lagoon)

            Many thanks and regards
            Garfield
