Does The Northern Lights Tickle Your Fancy?

Its a once in a lifetime trip, but a spectacular one to do! The Northern Lights is an incredible phenomena of dancing lights in the sky, with a ray of colours the sky is lit up across Norwegian skies.

Hurtigruten, the Northern Light specialists, say " Winter is perhaps the most special time to explore the wild and untamed Norwegian scenery. The landscape is covered in virgin snow and the air is fresh, pure and crisp. Clusters of cosy houses glow on the shores like embers. The stunning backdrop of snow-clad mountains reflects the polar twilight.

Sailing with Hurtigruten to Norway's northern reaches, you can experience a magical winter wonderland and hopefully see the Northern Lights. We provide the best chances of experiencing this magic colour show as it changes from light green to dark purple flickering across the Arctic sky. "

This image is from the Telegraph and what a fantastic image it is showing off the incredible lights!

Well if you would like to experience them then Hurtigruten have a 2 for 1 offer from only £1381 (for TWO people!)

Give Cruise. a call on 0800 408 6200 to talk to a cruise specialist about your Northern Lights Voyage!

It's moving up the list......may be 2014? 2015? 2016? Heard so much about it, would be a life time experience.

Oh I know....same here. We've visited Norway and it is absolutely spectacular and I would love to see the aurora borealis. But if I could just persuade them to shift southwards a tad towards the Med or even the Caribbean sea, then they would be absolutely perfect!

Absolutely Pippa, although I'd be more inclined more towards the Caribbean myself

This is getting very near the top of our bucket list & as I am definitely not a sun worshipper then maybe its time to start seriously looking into it.
Happy Christmas everyone!! & a Happy Healthy Cruising New Year. Looking forward to seeing some of you on the NCL Getaway in Jan!

Would love to see the aurora, but probably not cruising, rather fly to Tromso.

Is Tromso the best place for viewing the aurora?
