    Favour please...........

    Hi all

You may have heard that several members of the Cruise dot team were on the Brilliance of the Seas overnight on Tuesday, (I'll be posting a review soon with all the photos and videos I took).

RCCL are running a FB competition for the best/funniest/quirkiest photo taken on the night. Could you call click this link and vote for me and Babs, (another Cruise dotter who was onboard).

When you follow the link you will have to 'like' the Royal Caribbean page, (it's a travel agent page though so you might see some interesting info sometimes). You then need to click view entries. This will let you see all the photos that have been submitted but if you then click Sort By and Total Votes me and Babs should appear top. If you then click the picture you will be able to click the button that says Vote- Thanks everyone - all help greatly received.

Thanks again and I'll let you know when I get my review finished for you all to look at

    Happy cruising

PS You can vote for more than one photo but only once per photo so feel free to vote for me and Babs

Harwich is one of the few ports that still has it's train station right at the port. They all used to, but most have been lost.

Harwich old town is wort a few hours exploration.
We drove down, parking at one end of the carpark with a 2 minute bus ride taking us through the port to check-in but a lot of people did use the train and were all raving about getting off in the port

Can't say I was a huge fan of the port, (although that may have been the 5hr journey down), but you'd be hard pressed to find a 'pretty' UK port anyway I think.
That being said the check-in process was a doddle - straight in and straight through so no major complaints. I still prefer Southampton but that's had a lot more money spent on it over the years. With the stone flooring Harwich check-in almost felt like a giant tent.

Harwich itself is a pretty corner of the world to drive through though, (again it would probably look nicer if you weren't on the end of a 5hr journey), and I loved the Brilliance of the Seas - If only I could have got RCCL to send her round the coast to Southampton to pick me up after everyone else!

RCCL ended up dropping anchor out at sea so they could open the casino for all us TAs

So what did you think of Harwich James?Only five mins across the water for me and I did not get the call,ai could have pretended to be a travel agent
the initial plan for the ship was to berth overnight on TTY terminal in Felixstowe whilst awaiting a berth in Harwich, the port even split the cranes to make room but the Brilliance lost time coming from Cadiz,so FelixstoweSuffolk moment of glory was lost.
