From Triumph to Sunrise

Carnival cruises has announced they are going to be changing on of there ships, the ships will undergo a multi million dollar refurbishment and will come out the other end completely different and even a new name!

Carnival Triumph made her debut in 1999 so is nearly 20 years old! In March 2019 she will enter dry dock in Cadiz, Spain and under go a 200 million dollar re fit and transform into the Carnival Sunshine. The refurb will include updates all over the ship, new cabin interiors, new restaurants bars pool areas , entertainment options , almost everything you see every venue, every cabin will be updated and brought upto date in line with there 2 newest ships in the fleet Vista and Horizon.

The Sunrise will follow in all other Carnival cruise steps unfortunately and be based out of the US, which is a huge shame. Carnival should really consider placing one of there newer ships back into the Mediterranean for  a few months during summer she would prove a huge hit as she has done previously, I absolutley loved my cruise onboard Carnival Vista and wouldn’t hesitate in boarding again.

Some of the main new features that you can expect onboard the Sunrise that I have picked out are;

Redesigned cabins – The new cabins will have bright colours

Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse – Another restaurant backed by top check Guy Fieri , This restaurant is also included free of charge.

Red Frog pub – You can sample the lines home brewed private label beer

Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse – One of the best steaks I have ever tasted !

Serenity adult only deck – Expect too find comfy hammocks and day beds and Jacuzzi’s

Me in the Serenity on Carnival Vista;

Seafood Shack – Great lobster, crab and fish dishes!

I am sure the Sunrise will be a fantastic updated addition to the Carnival fleet!
